Conflict of Interest Notice
[edit]- Wikipedia's Law of Unintended Consequences
If you write in Wikipedia about yourself, your group, your company, or your pet idea, once the article is created, you have no right to control its content, and no right to delete it outside our normal channels. Content is not deleted just because somebody doesn't like it. Any editor may add material to or remove material from the article within the terms of our content policies. If there is anything publicly available on a topic that you would not want included in an article, it will probably find its way there eventually. More than one user has created an article only to find himself presented in a poor light long-term by other editors. If you engage in an edit war in an attempt to obtain a version of your liking you may have your editing access removed, perhaps permanently.In addition, if your article is found not to be worthy of inclusion in the first place, it will be deleted, as per our deletion policies. Therefore, don't create promotional or other articles lightly, especially on subjects you care about.
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article David Spero, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Potential addition to article
[edit]Since I have a potential conflict of interest, I'd prefer to not edit this article directly. Still, I read in Rolling Stone about how Spero, as Richie Furay's manager, is working to put Buffalo Springfield back on tour. Maybe an editor without a conflict would take a look at the following, make any appropriate changes, and insert into the article? This could fit right at the end of the second to last paragraph about Spero bringing together Paul McCartney and Cat Stevens:
- According to Rolling Stone, as of February, 2011, Spero was Richie Furay's manager and, as such, was working to put the band Buffalo Springfield back on tour for the first time since their break-up in 1968.[1]
